Carus Selected as Candidate for Black Isle By-Election

Monday, November 18th, 2013

At a selection meeting on Saturday (16/11), The Highland Greens confirmed that their candidate in the forthcoming council by-election in the Black Isle Ward will be Myra Carus from Rosemarkie.

Myra, who has lived and worked on the Black Isle for almost 30 years, and stood at the last council election in May 2012, is well-known as a hard-working local campaigner on planning and transport issues and a passionate advocate of the Black Isle Swimming Pool project, as well as her work as secretary of Rosemarkie Amenities Association.

Myra said: “ I would be honoured to have the chance to take local issues into the heart of Highland local government – so I and my team will do our utmost to get elected and improve the quality of life for all on the Black Isle. There are many issues to be tackled here and I look forward to being able to work on those”.
